The Prophet (ﷺ) used to say to the patient, “In the Name of Allah, the earth of our land and the saliva of some of us cure our patient.”

Lessons:

  1. Among the responsibilities of a muslim is to visit the sick.
  2. It is a tradition or Sunnah of Rasulullah SAW to visit the sick and pray for their recovery.
  3. Among the supplications to recite when visiting the sick is:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ تُرْبَةُ أَرْضِنَا بِرِيقَةِ بَعْضِنَا يُشْفَى سَقِيمُنَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّنَا

In the Name of Allah, the earth of our land and the saliva of some of us cure our patient.

Let us, in the spirit of rahmah, visit the sick and recite the above supplication for them.
