First way: Connecting the PS4 to a supported Bluetooth device

If your Bluetooth device is supported by Sony, you can pair your Bluetooth headset directly with the Playstation 4. Even if there is no information about it from the manufacturer, it doesn’t hurt to just try pairing.

● Turn on your Bluetooth headset in pairing mode to prepare for connection

● On the PS4, navigate to “Settings” > “Devices” > “Bluetooth Devices”.

● Select the name of the headset that you want to connect.

● Make sure that the volume is not set to noiseless.

● Once the connection has been successfully established, you can test the audio output by starting a game

If this fails with a message “Bluetooth audio devices are not supported by the PS4” or “Could not connect to Bluetooth”, you can try an alternative way.

This variant is not a wireless connection in the true sense, but it could be interesting for you. Instead of the wireless connection, simply use the often supplied audio cable of the headphones / headsets:

● Connect your Bluetooth headset and PS4 controller to the audio cable, then turn on your headset.

● On the PS4, navigate to “Settings” > “Devices” > “Bluetooth Devices”.

● Select the name of the headset that you want to connect.

● On the PS4, go to > “Audio Devices

● Click on “Output device” and select “Headset connected to controller”.

● Make sure that the volume is not set to noiseless.

● Click on “Output to headphones” and select “Audio”.

● Test the audio output on the headphones
