عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا بُنَيَّ إِذَا دَخَلْتَ عَلَى أَهْلِكَ فَسَلِّمْ يَكُنْ بَرَكَةً عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى أَهْلِ بَيْتِكَ

Narrated Anas: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to me, ‘O my little son! When you enter upon your family then give the Salam, it will be a blessing for you and upon the inhabitants of your house.”

  1. One of the adaab (manners) before entering one’s home is to give salam.
  2. The one who gives salam to his family before entering his own home will be blessed.
  3. We should teach our children to greet others as such, even when entering homes other than our own.

Let’s give salam before entering any abode.
