Words which fills the Heaven and Earth

TAHMID (ALHAMDULILLAH) AND TASBIH (SUBHANALLAH) FILL THE EARTH AND THE SKY

Abu Malik al-Ash’ari reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Purity is half of faith and al-Hamdu Lillah (praise be to Allah) fills the scales, and Subhan Allah (hallowed be Allah) and/or al-Hamdu Lillah fill up what is between the heavens and the earth, and prayer is light, and charity is proof (of sincere faith), and patience is illumination, and the Qur’an is a proof for you or against you. All people go out early in the morning and sell themselves, either setting themselves free or destroying themselves.”

Narrated in Sahih Muslim, hadith no. 223

Lessons:

  1. A Muslim should ensure the cleanliness of the heart from deceit, envy, and other diseases of the heart in addition to maintaining physical hygiene, as cleanliness is a part of faith.
  2. The uttering of the phrases “Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah)” and “Subhanallah (hallowed be Allah)”, if made a part of daily living, gains the doer reward amounting to the earth and the sky.
  3. Prayer is the light of the living and protection from the torment of Hell.
  4. Alms (whether obligatory or not) and patience are a Muslim’s guiding light.
  5. The Qur’an will testify for its readers and against those who do not read it on the Day of Judgment.
  6. Every Muslim needs to try to improve himself and become the most obedient servant of Allah.
