Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “The angels keep on asking Allah’s forgiveness for any one of you as long as he is at his musolla (place of prayer) and he does not enter hadath (state of impurity). They say, ‘O Allah! Forgive him, O Allah! be Merciful to him.”
Sahih Al Bukhari (No: 445)
Grade: Sahih (authentic)
Translation adapted from sunnah.com
- Whoever prays in congregation, the reward (ajr) is multiplied.
- Whoever performs congregational prayer at the mosque, the ajr amounts to even more.
- As long as one is at the mosque/musolla (place of prayer) waiting for the next prayer time and in the state of wudhu’ (purification/ablution), the reward obtained is as if one is in a constant state of prayer.
- The angels continuously ask Allah’s forgiveness and blessings for one who maintains the above condition.
Let us strive for endless ajr and obtain the prayer of the sinless angels.
