In order for us to experience joy and embrace our life, we need to discard fear.
We have a limited amount of time to live. Just before we die, we will realize what we really value. We will recognize that only love matters and fear has no substance.
But we don’t need to wait for death to gain this insight. Because everyday, we can leave behind yesterday’s fantasies and create a more vibrant life.
We can abandon the things we feared and fill our life with affection and happiness. We can give up what no longer benefits us and reaffirm our ability to love.
We should strive to see the world as a child does. Examine the world with curiosity and affection.
We will find that fear exists only in the future or in the past.
Stay in the present.
Legendary musician John Lennon said that life has two “basic motivating forces, fear and love.”
All other feelings are subcategories of these two emotions that is love and fear. With love, we’ll experience happiness, delight, satisfaction and peace. While with fear, we’ll fear anxious, sad, depressed and tired.
However, these two emotions, love and fear can’t coexist.
We need to choose which one to discard.
p.s. Choose love over fear.
