The Mercy of Allah on Those Who Are Merciful

إِنَّمَا يَرْحَمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الرُّحَمَاءَ

Allah is merciful only to those of His slaves who are merciful (to others).

  1. Muslims are expected to be kind and merciful.
  2. Allah only blesses those who are kind and merciful to others.
  3. Examples of kindness and mercy include forgiving others, helping those in need, feeding the hungry, and visiting the sick.

Admin’s note: This saying is part of a much longer narration relating to the death of one of the Prophet (SAW)’s grandsons. A discussion of the remainder of the narration is beyond the scope of this post.
